VISUAL SYMBOLS
The first sculpture to this collection is the one on the left side of the image. The visual symbol for this bust sculpture is a dollar sign on the top back of the mans head. Standing for the everlasting desire for a man to get money. The never ending chase and pursuit.
The second sculpture of this collection is the one of the right side of the image. The visual symbols for this figurative bust is the heart on the top back of his head swell as the little hearts aligned around it. This symbol of the heart on the bust is there to symbolize the ever lasting chase for love throughout life and all of the heartbreaks are the hearts surrounding it.
REFLECTION STATEMENT
So, the main point of both of these bust sculptures as a set is to bring attention to the topic of these two things the tall of us as humans strive for. Throughout all of our lives money and love are the two things that bring people together and tear them apart at the same thing. Aswell as it being the two main things that people set out to have in life. The dollar sign on the back of the mans head is there to symbolize the everlasting chase of money for all humans especially Americans. The Heart on the back of the head on the other bust symbolizes the chase of love itself and the little hearts around it symbolize the heartbreaks that you will endure throughout time.
